
2026 Primary results
The Republican Party of Texas (RPT) & Grimes County Republican Party (GCRP) held the Republican Primary on 3/3/26. This election is the first step in determining the Republican candidates for the November general election.
Through election day, 5,622 (26.15%) of Grimes County registered voters cast a primary vote - of these 4,471 (79.53%) cast votes in the Republican primary!
The full list of unofficial results is below. Candidates that secure more than 50% of the vote are declared winners, and are indicated in GREEN. Candidates that are progressing to a run-off election on May 26, 2026 because no candidate secured more than 50% of the vote are indicated in YELLOW. Please note that state and district wide candidates must achieve more than 50% of votes in their entire voting area - results in Grimes County contribute, but don't necessarily match these percentages.
