The energy was electric on Saturday, February 21, 2026, as the Grimes County Republican Party (GCRP) proudly hosted its 21st Annual Reagan Dinner—an unforgettable evening that brought together hundreds of passionate Republican voters, candidates, and grassroots activists for a night of celebration, inspiration, and unity.

The Grimes County Expo Center was transformed into a showcase of patriotic pride, thanks to the incredible volunteers from the Grimes County Republican Women and community supporters who went above and beyond with beautiful decorations. The Iola High School Young Republicans stepped up in a big way, helping serve dinner and clean up—proving that the next generation of conservative leaders is already hard at work.
Guests enjoyed a delicious steak dinner prepared onsite by Mallett Brothers BBQ & Catering. And just when attendees thought it couldn’t get better, dessert was taken to the next level with ice cream generously donated by Blue Bell Creameries—a sweet finish to a spectacular meal.

The highlight of the evening came when keynote speaker Texas State Senator Lois Kolkhorst took the stage after a hilarious introduction by State Representative Trey Wharton.
Her powerful, unapologetic message energized the crowd as she outlined how President Trump’s policies are rooted in time-tested conservative principles and common-sense values. Her speech was both a rallying cry and a reminder: conservative voters must stay engaged and vote to ensure the continued success of that agenda.

Momentum only grew stronger when U.S. Representative Wesley Hunt, currently running for the U.S. Senate, addressed the audience. With passion and conviction, he introduced himself to Grimes County Republicans, laid out the case for his candidacy, and firing up the crowd.
It was a night filled with great food, strong fellowship, and unwavering dedication to conservative principles. A heartfelt thank you goes out to every attendee, volunteer, and donor who made this incredible evening possible. Together, the momentum continues!
