Ignore the Noise and Pay Attention to What You See

How often do you read a news article or hear a talking head on tv and think that this world is going to hell in a handbasket? The fear that the media and talking heads create is their way of creating urgency for their product and repeat visitors.
When you digest these stories and relate them to how your life is going, do you ever feel the disconnect? That little voice is telling you to believe what you know instead of what you hear.
This phenomenon gets worse anytime the Trump Administration is involved. President Trump’s personality brings out the worst in in leftists, democrats, and the media – his successes bring out their rage. Think back to the media’s coverage of President Trump over the past year – did you hear anything positive about any of the following:
- The Trump Administration is responsible for 2.6 million deportations. 1
- Fentanyl trafficking down by 56%.1
- The US is experiencing the largest drop in homicide rates ever recorded. 2
- Brokered an end to no fewer than 8 international conflicts. 1
There are tons more…the stock market is up, gas is down, tax returns will be up, unemployment is down – all of this sounds pretty damn good – but you never hear it.
So, how should we react? It is really simple – LIVE YOUR LIFE. I’m not advocating disconnecting from the world but stop taking the rage bait. Consume media with discernment – confirm information with reliable sources. Don’t let politics take over your life. I know that sounds weird coming from a Republican Chairman, but loving God, your family, and serving your community is more important. Vote for candidates that share your values – that means that the Republican Party has to provide you with ways to meet and get to know candidates AND you have to do your homework.
